Information Below for Saturday Dec. 5 in Boyceville WI!!!

link to Boyceville Invite results

The Dec. 5th Boyceville meet is fast approaching.  Your students are working hard and getting excited.

Please read below for some travel logistics info.

Buses will load at Chippewa at 6:15 a.m., with wheels up at 6:30 a.m.  Students should be dropped at Chippewa between 6:00 and 6:15 a.m. on Saturday.

If your student doesn't have a cell phone, please make sure they know your number so they can contact you to let you know when we are underway for return to Chippewa and pick up (estimate 7 p.m. +/-).

We have 5 parents assisting with events supervision.  Principal Reetz is helping with organizing a few more parents to travel as team chaperones and to drive a couple SUV/Minivans to haul equipment.  Other interested parents are welcome to travel individually to Boyceville to revel in the scienterrific festivities.  There will be over 1,500 Middle and High School students competing during the day.

Please help your students go to bed at a decent time on Friday.  Many will want to stay up late cramming one more thing in, but a rested mind will think through things better on Saturday...

Science Olympiad Dec. 5, 2015 Boyceville WI Meet Reminders

Buses will load at Chippewa Middle School at 6:15 A.M. on Sat. Dec. 5

We anticipate leaving Boyceville at approx 5:30 p.m. after the awards ceremony is completed (arriving back at Chippewa by approx 7:00 p.m.) – time is estimate and depends on time required to score last events and length of award ceremony.

We will have 2 or 3 SUV/Minivans driven by parents to haul some of the larger building event apparatuses (e.g. Air Trajectory).

Please help your students make sure that they have all the materials they need for their events and organized in a way they can keep track of (we will have team safety materials like goggles and aprons for the events).

“Fragile” Building Event materials should be housed in something that will survive the trip on the bus.

FOOD:
Students should bring a lunch or $$ for the concession stand.   Students should pack accordingly for snacks through the day and individual dietary needs.

If a few parents would like to donate some snacks or bottled water for the home room that would be great.   Please bring it to the buses Sat. a.m.
